We offer three Ride Group Standards; Easy, Moderate and Difficult. Each ride will be crafted to suit your personal level of ride fitness.
The Dartmoor Cycling Camp has been designed with the Sportive cyclist in mind. Our structured training rides, coaching sessions and seminars will help you achieve your personal goals, whether that's gaining confidence to participate in your first sportive or to attain a gold medal standard on a century ride or multi-day cycling event.
Dartmoor National Park is recognised as one of the best landscapes in the UK. Situation in Devon, in South West of England, Dartmoor National Park occupies approximately 365 square miles of beautiful countryside that is rich in history. Its central core is dominated by rugged open moorland with imposing granite tors. This remote vista gives way to deep river valleys that radiate out through the surrounding farmland with its lush rolling fields and woodlands. Nestled throughout the Dartmoor landscape there are many little villages, hamlets and remote farmsteads, all interconnected by quite country lanes just waiting to be explored.
Our 2019 Dartmoor Cycling Camp will run from The Premier Inn at Newton Abbot Racecourse, close to the Eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park. There are ample places for parking adjacent to this location for anyone not staying at the Premier Inn.
At the start of the camp, you will have the opportunity for a private consultation with one of our professional Cycling Coaches. This will help establish your goals and set your training targets. Each day we will ride with a small group of cyclists that share a similar level or ride fitness. Each ride will explore a different area of Dartmoor and will help you train for the different demands experienced in Sportive cycling. Your Ride Group Leader will be with you to both guide you and help you attain your training goals. The distance and intensity of each ride will vary depending on the fitness levels within each group. All our rides have van support ensuring we have all the necessary resources on hand to assist you, whatever the scenario. Energy drinks & snacks will be supplied for all rides and we will also take shceduled cafe stops on each ride.
